Maptime Melbourne: OpenStreetMap and mapping Melbourne

The world needs your help!

With so many areas unmapped, you can help humanitarian agencies in their relief efforts for ongoing disasters and emergencies. These range from the recent floods in Sri Lanka to malaria epidemics in Zimbabwe.

At Maptime, we're all about teaching and learning from each other on how to make awesome maps - beginners and experience mappers are welcome!

This is designed as a pretty informal event and it's no problem if you want to work on your own project or can only attend for part of the two hours.

OpenStreetMap Training

For our less experienced or first-time mappers, we will be running another basic training session for everything you need to get stuck into OpenStreetMap!

Mapping Melbourne/Workspace

More experienced mappers can get straight down to whatever mapping task you would like to do in our second room.

We will have a few suggestions on some tasks that need completing in and around Melbourne.

If you are working on a cool project, great! Come along and have a chat to your fellow mapping enthusiasts, share ideas and help each other out.

What to Bring

We do not provide computers, so please bring your own laptop, tablet, etc. Wifi and some limited powerpoints will be available at the venue.

Also please bring anyone along who might be interested, even if you or they can only attend part of the event.
