We are a group of storytellers - and aspiring storytellers.

Every month we get together in a circle of about 12 to share our true life stories, chosen around a theme each month by the group who met last month.

Our stories are personal - they are not made up and they are not folk tales. All respect to those kinds of stories - that's just not what we are about.

Here is how we define story:

A recounting of an event from our lives - an event that has some meaning for us, that matters to us somehow. It could be serious, funny, life-changing or one of those moments in time we simply carry with us like a sweet treasure. A story always has characters, a setting and an arc - something happens in a story and it effects the characters. It might be a moment in time or a series of events over time - either way, they work together to create a story.

Please do not bring these to share in our story circle: Essays, Reflections, Stand up routines, poetry

It isn't that we don't love these expressions - we do. But we are a storytelling circle. Our purpose is to support one another as we engage and practice the art of telling a great story.

Let's witness each other as we step into richer storytelling and push our own edges of comfort as we practice telling stories ourselves.

We are excited to meet you! Our circle does fill up many months so if you know you want to attend, please RSVP now. (And if you change your mind about attendance, please release your seat as soon as possible so another storytelling can sit with us. You can always come for a future circle!)
