Data Hubs vs. Data Lakes - There's a difference! Which one is right for you?

Details

Many organizations understand relational databases are not great at integrating highly variable information from multiple data sources. RDBMS is not fit for the new generation of information. With today’s variety, velocity, and volume of data there are also some confusing arrays of non-relational technology options available.

Some organizations are turning to new ways to store non-relational data in a file system (such as the Hadoop Distributed File System) to build a data lake. Other organizations are turning to non-relational data hubs to collect information from various sources in an organized manner to allow for better sharing.

What are the differences between a data lake and a data hub? What are the pros and cons?

Join us for pizza and drinks with MarkLogic’s Solutions Director, Damon Feldman, as he reviews these integration strategies to help you decide which one is right for you!
