Here's a little more about the sessions:-
Semantic Document Explorer
Semantic document explorer is a demonstration application that enables ‘structured queries on unstructured content’. Leveraging semantic technologies such as SPARQL and RDF MarkLogic users are able to query, report and perform analytics on documents as if interacting with a traditional database. This unlocking of content has enabled our finance customers to understand policies and contracts, and a medical organisation understand their indemnities, the possibilities are endless.
Finding hidden facts between disparate spreadsheets
Spreadsheet documents are popular and great for performing complex calculations within the context of a document. But what if you wanted to combine related data from other spreadsheets, created by other people, at other times, in different spreadsheets?
Semantic Integration are using Semantic Concept Extraction with MarkLogic to automatically turn spreadsheets into data, so that you can create new spreadsheets, graphs and charts from a Semantic search, and also learn new things that were not even present in any of the spreadsheets in the first place, through Semantic reasoning.
