I apologize for the short notice for this meetup. My laptop's been out of commission and there is also a slight possibility that my work may be organizing a snow tubing trip this same day, in which case I would invite all of you to join on that trip rather than meeting at my house. I haven't heard any updates about the snow tubing trip yet, though, so as of now we'll be having an energy work meetup unless I post otherwise.

4:00 ? 4:30 Introductions and Logistics (Aimee)

We?ll take some time to introduce the group and its purpose for any new members, along with sharing brief introductions to help us all get to know each other a little better. Introductions will then be followed by brief logistics and updates about the Baltimore Jedi Chapter, associated Maryland Jedi Order groups, upcoming Gatherings and events, topics for future meetings, and the Jedi Resource Center forum upgrade.

4:30 ? 5:30 Yoga Nidra (Stan)

Stan will introduce and lead us to Yoga Nidra, a Yogic practice that involves deep physical and mental relaxation through the use of guided imagery. In Yoga Nidra, the body is effectively asleep, but the mind is allowed to function at a higher state of consciousness. It brings balance to the nervous system and induces deep rest - in fact, 40 minutes of Yoga Nidra is said to have the physiologic effect of six to eight hours of
restful sleep!

5:30 ? 6:00 Qigong (Aimee)

Qigong helps to cultivate a soft, flowing quality of movement in the body. The exercises can build greater awareness of how the flow of breath is linked with the flow of the life energy and how it can permeate through the body to re-energize us. Aimee will lead the group in some simple qigong movements to help get the energy flowing.

6:00 ? 6:30 Energy Work and Energy Sensing Techniques (Everyone)

Once we have our energy pathways all fired up, we'll work on feeling the energy both within ourselves and in the environment around us. We'll have fun with different drills, games, and techniques to help fine tune our sensitivity and increase our control over influencing this energy.


Every month the Baltimore Chapter will have new workshops based on member interest and skill level. Volunteers to lead workshops and feedback are encouraged and welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Meetings are free, although donations are welcome to go towards food and paying for the costs of running the meetup group.

IMPORTANT: If you're interested in attending, you must RSVP or contact Aimee for directions to her house. Directions will be sent out to all the ?Yes? and ?Maybe? RSVP?s by Friday February 26th.
