Smith Park Middletown 2.5 mile run/walk (free race)
This is a monthly Wednesday evening run and walk out and back on the bike path, mostly flat. We supply water, light refreshments and awards as available. 2.5 mile race, good practice run or walk. There is no cost for the race, we use registration for waivers and to determine age groups for awards. You're welcome to bring friends and family.

What we're about

Fitness walkers training for marathons, half marathons or just meeting to walk. Mainly walk on Saturday mornings, outside if the weather permits, or in the mall if sidewalks are icy. We also have members who walk on Sundays or mornings during the week. Anyone is welcome to join, we offer training tips on technique, clothing, cross-training, nutrition. We have had participants from their 20s through early 80s complete a marathon with us and welcome any fitness level. Our walks are generally at a fitness pace, although we sometimes have other events at a more moderate pace.
