What areas of philosophy interest you the most?

Epistemology - how in hell do we know what we know? Even weirder, how do we know what we don't know?

How did you become interested in philosophy?

Inspired by a couple of great teachers, I received Queens College's first B.A. in Philosophy in 1959. Graduate work at the New School with Horace Kallen before succumbing to eternal-student fatigue.

I'm the President of the Secular Humanist Society of New York (of which Massimo is an Honorary Member), the Editor of its newsletter, PIQUE, and a Massimo Pigliucci fan from way back when he was corresponding from faraway Tennessee.
