Are you interested in using yoga to still your mind and experience your true nature, as pure consciousness? Traditionally, yoga's focus is to relieve mental suffering, to promote clarity of mind and to achieve self-realization. Improving the quality of our health and well-being are important secondary outcomes. I started this group to meet others who are interested in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar, who promoted yoga which is based on function, not on form. That means the tools of asana, pranayama, meditation and chant are fitted to the needs/goals of those who will be using them~ not trying to fit the practitioner to the tools. I am open to discussions, book readings, to holding classes, workshops and more. We'd love to have you.
