POPULAR! Beginners Dragon Boat– Saturday 11th Nov

For those of you who have wanted to try dragon boating but have put it off due to feeling a little intimidated then this session is for you. Join us for a fun morning where you will be shown the basics of dragon boat paddling, as well as meet the Mavericks and join our friendly group.

THIS SESSION IS CAPPED SO REGISTER EARLY!

When: Saturday 11th November 2017

Time: Meet at 8.15am – We finish paddling at 10.30am – then join the team for morning tea at a nearby local cafe -Studio 4

Where: Bank Street Wharf – near the Fish Markets, Pyrmont.

Parking available on site- park in Bay 4 only.

Closest public transport option is via light rail at Fish Market station. Walk approx. 300m along Bank Street to reach our training site (see photos below)

What to wear:

• Waterproof warm clothing that is flexible so that your arms can move

• Footwear – must be closed shoes, either old trainers or any closed toe sandals, NO thongs – your shoes will get wet so no need to wear socks

What to bring:

• Water bottle

• Hat

• Sunglasses

• Tower

• Change of clothes after training

• A good attitude and willingness to have a go

What we supply:

• The boat

• The paddles

• The coach

• Bag storage

• Some experienced Mavericks to support you

What does it cost:

It’s FREE for this session

What happens afterwards:

If you love the sport and would like to continue you can join our training sessions any Saturday morning from 8.00am – 10.30am for two more free sessions

If you want to become a regular paddler you can join the club for the whole season. Talk to us about our special membership fees for this season
