McrFRED 80 | Welcome Back

Needs a location

McrFRED is back, with a series of lightning talks from some of the team at Code Computer Love who have been kind enough to host us once again.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Building Better Websites with Remix
Remix is a full stack web framework that lets you focus on the user interface and work back through web standards to deliver a fast, slick, and resilient user experience. People should love using what you build as much as you enjoy building it. Remix has both of these covered. This talk will tell you how.

Alex Hall - Alex is the Principal Front-end engineer at Code

Mocking API's in a front-end codebase
This talk will be about how we used Mock Service Worker to mock API responses in a recent project in our local development, testing and component library processes.

Ryan Dunn - Ryan is a Senior Front-end Developer at Code, he would have preferred to give a talk entitled "Why tabs are better for indentation, a 600 page manifesto" but thankfully was prevented from doing so.

It all starts and ends with people
Accessibility is a right, NOT a privilege. How can we embed an accessible culture into our teams? This talk will detail a little around how we’re starting this journey at Code, and what we can do ensure accessibility is at the forefront of a project.

James Bateson - James is a Front End Engineer at Code with a passion for HTML, CSS, UX, accessibility, and performance.
