Do you feel the need to expand your social network and form closer friendships?
The purpose of this group will be to engage together in a process which will hopefully help us all to meet new people in a more meaningful way. Initially, our meetups will involve activities such as walking in the Brecon Beacons, to break the ice. Once we have become more at ease with each other, we will then begin to explore topics of interest to group members, through open conversation. All subjects are welcome, and for those whose have more fundamental life questions, this will be an opportunity to explore them. Listening to the other will be as important as a making a contribution. Our hope is that this process will enable deeper friendships to form. The process will go at the pace set by the group with the key element that all contributions are freely made. Please note, however, this is not a therapy or counselling group.

This will be our second icebreaker event, so that those who weren't able to attend previously, have the chance to meet the group. It will also be a good opportunity to follow up on conversations from last time start new ones and welcome any newcomers into the group.
We would also like to encourage people to share what their hopes or ideas for the group are, as this will help inform our plans for interesting and exciting events this Autumn!
The format will similar to before (assuming good weather); meet in the Llandaff fields carpark, walk along the The Taff Trail and stopping by the river and/or in the café as we may wish.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
For our third Icebreaker event we're hoping the weather will hold up for a reasonably gentle hike up Pen Y Fan. Like the previous events this will be about welcoming newcomers, sharing our hopes for the group and getting to know each other. The idea is that this will be facilitated by sharing in the experience of nature in the Brecon Beacons, which might inspire some life questions or thoughts. These will guide the topics for the upcoming 'conversation group' style meetups, so feel free to share them.
For those without a car, there is a T4 bus service that is free on the weekends. We will get this bus at 11:00 (meet at 1045), from Parkfield Place near the Tesco's Express in Maindy (contact me/Google Map it if you're unsure where it is). Then we will get either the 1535 or 1734 bus back depending on how much energy people have.
Looking forward to seeing you guys there!
