What we're about

This group is for people who care for a family member, friend, or someone else.

Most of us begin by “just helping out” a relative or friend who is aging or frail, disabled, chronically ill, or experiencing neuro-cognitive disease. We may help to organize services for a loved one far away, care for someone in our own home, or be one of several family caregivers.

Regardless of circumstances, we all experience difficulties as caregivers. However, most available resources are focused on “how to” care for our care recipient depending on their disease state, daily care needs, etc. The problem is not the great resources available for how to care for our care recipient, but that caregivers are missing the map they need for their own way through the forest.

This group is for those interested in learning effective ways to prepare and nurture their own lives throughout a caregiving journey: emotionally, logistically, financially, and spiritually.
