Welcome to the first Mechanical engineering Meetup The goal is to organize conferences, trainings, and presentation of personal projects related to mechanical engineering. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing moment around a drink/pizza with other engineers.
Please join us for a pleasant moment in which we exchange thoughts, ideas, knowledge, projects about our passion.
The agenda will be the following one:
- Kick-off of the meetup: what are we going to do? (15min)
- For this inaugural session, we will welcome three guests (1h15)
- Projects & Pizza sharing time: Present your project to the rest of the community & grow your network
- Drinks & Networking
Doors open at 6.30pm, and we will start the first presentation at 7pm.

Development of an electric single seater race car
Being passionate about electric vehicles, Kasper has been working as an Advanced Development Engineer at Punch Powertrain for two years now, developing electric powertrains and electrifying vehicles. He will be presenting one of his ongoing projects in which his team aims to develop an electric single seater race car with and affordable cost and Formula-E-like performances.

3D Printing not for your business?
Antoine is a 3D printing aficionado. Freshly graduated from GroupT KULeuven he has closely followed the additive manufacturing innovations worldwide. He performed his Master thesis in the development department of 3D Systems which develops state-of-the-art metal 3D printers. The presentation will show you the power and ease of implementation of the different 3D printing technologies.
