The Medici Makers Meetup is an opportunity for talented makers to meet, connect and share experiences, insights and wisdom with other makers. This Meetup also provides makers with information that will help them better understand the process of going to market and how to access reputable resources. Topics that will be covered include how to fabricate your work, move into limited production, protect your designs and SELL your products.
The Meetups will be facilitated by Craig Caesar. Craig Caesar had a successful first career in the corporate world as software engineer, consultant, and technology executive, most recently at Microsoft. He left the corporate world in 2015 and launched his second career as a serial entrepreneur, educator, designer, artist, and maker. Craig applies his knowledge of technology and business experience to inspire our next generation of STEM workers. He authored curriculum that teaches kids how to program using Arduino and Microbit, as well as the science behind electronic components and sensors. His latest entrepreneurial venture is targeted at inspiring second chancers, and those considering a second career, to adopt a “Design, Protect, Build, and Sell” mentality. To him making is about more than just making cool stuff, it’s about helping people make money in non-traditional ways.
Craig is an active teacher and member at TechShop, has a factory space associated with Inventor Forge at the EDC in St. Charles County, and has offices at OPO Startups on main street in Old St. Charles. He recently joined Medici MediaSpace and is building a Maker community there.
The Meetups will take place every third Wednesday at Medici MediaSpace, a co-working collaborative in St. Louis. Caren Libby is the Organizer who handles the administration of the Meetup group.
