This meetup is led each week by long time Buddhist practioner, Jenny Streit-Horn. There will generally be two guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, and time for Q&A at each class. Classes are held weekly on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, and Friday lunchtime. Topics change each month, however each class stands on it's own and you can drop in anytime. Half day courses and retreats are also offered on one or more Saturdays a month.

You will learn simple meditations to reduce stress, improve your peace of mind and increase your spiritual perspective on life. Everyone is welcome anytime!

DENTON TEACHER Jenny Streit-Horn is the principal teacher at our Denton Branch Center and has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist practitioner for 10 years and finds Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's books and teachings to be remarkably clear and practical. Jenny brings a warm and caring heart to teaching meditation and Buddhism and is studying on Teacher Training Program at KMC Texas. WHAT TO BRING No materials or supplies are needed. COST Class offered on a donation basis. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds. REGISTRATION Registration is appreciated, but walk-ins are always welcome!

Special Event: Learning from Loss

Join us for a half-day teaching on how to learn from loss and overcome the internal struggles it can cause. Find peace, perspective, and freedom from pain. Throughout our lives we all must come to terms with loss. Dealing with unexpected change and losing the people and things we treasure are painful. Buddha’s teachings show us how to accept, heal, and transform our experiences of loss into deep meaning and spiritual growth. During this half-day course, our Dallas Resident Teacher Gen Menla will explain how to understand the struggle that comes with loss and how to transform this pain into peace. What Will You Learn? Ways of thinking and meditations that you may have not considered before, but will offer you answers, solutions, and real freedom. Is This For Me?
