About us

This meetup is led each week by long time Buddhist practioner, Jenny Streit-Horn. There will generally be two guided meditations, a talk on Buddhism for everyday living, and time for Q&A at each class. Classes are held weekly on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, and Friday lunchtime. Topics change each month, however each class stands on it's own and you can drop in anytime. Half day courses and retreats are also offered on one or more Saturdays a month.

You will learn simple meditations to reduce stress, improve your peace of mind and increase your spiritual perspective on life. Everyone is welcome anytime!

Digital distraction is a real thing for most of us. There seems to be a certain pleasantness that draws us into the digital world, like the light that draws in a moth. But over time we find neither contentment nor lasting happiness within our digital activities. Nevertheless, we are gently tugged toward this familiar space — a place to go when some free time appears — and these moments add up.

In this series of meditation classes, we will dive into ways to enjoy time beyond the digital landscape. We will look at how we can change our habits, and how to maintain the strength of mind to be present with others. As winter approaches and we start to have more time indoors with loved ones, these techniques will be invaluable for everyone's happiness and well-being.

    Everyone is welcome!

Sometimes people or situations appear in our lives and we don't know how to help. Will our words be beneficial, or not? Will reaching out cause more problems? When all is said and done, anyone from any religion or belief system can benefit from wisdom teachings that give us confidence in how we show up for others.

In this series of meditation classes we will learn methods for facing our own and others’ challenges with a happy and confident mind. Buddha gave many teachings on how to skillfully face difficulties, and by improving our wisdom we can navigate problems in more beneficial ways. This meditation class series explores practical and meaningful ways to help when we are truly unable to offer support or guidance.
