Full Moon Fire Ceremony, followed by Chanting and Meditation

Today is the day we celebrate the birthday of Hanuman! Therefore, our Fire Ceremony will include performing a simple puja, followed by the Hanuman Chalisa.

The energy available for meditation, realization and healing is enhanced at the time of the full moon, which begins two days before and lasts for two days after the exact day.

Each full moon is a chance for a new beginning, a fresh start, an opportunity for transformation. Spiritual practitioners can use the magnifying effects of the full moon to deepen their spiritual practice and meditation.

The evening will begin with imagining our goals and writing key words that describe our goals onto a small piece of paper.

We will light a sacred fire, using the power of specific mantras that call upon various Deities and powerful universal energies.

We will offer our hopes, dreams and wishes into the fire with faith, knowing that our thoughts, prayers and wishes are reaching the heavenly realms. Afterward, we will raise our voice in devotional song called kirtan, followed by silent prayer and meditation.

Light pot-luck vegetarian food will be shared at the conclusion of the evening as we enjoy each others company and friendship.
