Silent and Guided Meditation with Music

Details

This is a class for beginners to learn how to meditate, and for practioners who would like to deepen their meditations. We will do gentle Chi Kung exercises, to slow down the mind and relax the nervous system, guided meditations, and mindfulness meditation, an ancient Buddhist technique that brings us powerfully into the present moment. Using the wisdom of teachers like the Buddha and Eckhart Tolle, and indigenous traditions that connect us with the elements, time passes effortlessly and we become more and more deeply relaxed and peaceful.

We will also listen to instruments from around the world that help us to calm the mind, open the heart, and connect with our own inner spirit more profoundly and clearly.

As we cultivate Mindfulness of the present moment, we open ourselves to the great treasures of Being Here Now: more peace, a quiet mind, greater sensitivity to ourselves and others, and more responding consciously to life, rather than reacting automatically to it. As our minds naturally settle down, our hearts open, and we connect with life in ways we never imagined possible.

Please join us as we use simple, gentle techniques that bring us more and more profoundly Home to our true divine selves.

There is a suggested donation of $5 or $10 for this class.

A % of all donations goes to support an orphanage that rescues children from sex trade and frees children sold into slave labor. We also support an animal sanctuary, both of which I visited in Tiruvanamali, India.
