Meditation for Mental Wellness: Fall 2018
At these introductory practice labs (scheduled to meet on the first and third Saturdays of October, November, and December), we will explore and practice various forms of meditation for the purpose of increasing mental wellness. In addition to spending time in stillness and silence, there will also be opportunities for group discussion, as well as gentle movement and/or vocalization. Whether you're an experienced meditator or are looking to try meditation for the first time, we invite you to join us! There is a fee of $10 for this event, however for those experiencing financial difficulties, the fee will be waived. We believe it is more important to show up, than to have the fee stop you from attending. This is about community building and being there for each other. Please message us directly if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you! —Jeremy, Carlos, Miriam, and Gabriel

    What we're about

Daily life challenges and negative mental states can lead to recurring stress and anxiety. While there’s no instant cure for this, we can learn techniques that will assist us in navigating internal and external conflicts more gracefully. Meditation and mindfulness bring us a deeper awareness of our mind’s workings and patterns. Through meditation, we can touch a quiet place that gives us strength and peace. In this introductory practice lab, we will explore how meditation can be one of the best gifts you give to yourself.

Beginners and experienced meditators are invited to join.
