Combat Stress: Give the Gift of Happiness
As the holiday season approaches, while materials gifts may make others happy at times, the greatest gift we can give – to ourselves and others – is the gift of being happy, peaceful and kind. One of the beauties of Buddha’s teachings is that they show us –Buddhists and non-Buddhists – the cause of happiness and how to cultivate it. The cause of happiness, Buddha teaches, is a peaceful mind and the way to cultivate it is through meditation. A hidden benefit of this understanding is that we, ourselves, can directly create happiness in our minds; we are not dependent on anyone or anything external for our happiness – how wonderful! In this workshop, you will learn how we can transform our experience of the holidays through understanding, and applying, Buddha’s teachings on happiness. No experience necessary. Everyone is welcome!
