NOTE: Tom moved to Oregon in late 2016, so I have taken on the "organizer" role for this group to keep it going (I pay the organizer fees), as I really enjoy participating in group meditations. If you'd like to lead a meditation, become an event organizer or host, or have meetup suggestions, please let me know! -Molly

MBSR is a technique pioneered by Jon Kabat-Zinn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Kabat-Zinn). Through easy-to-learn meditation techniques, students are able to calm their minds, live more fully in the present, reduce stress, and improve overall health, happiness and relationships.

Brain-imaging technology & research has shown a dramatic increase in happiness, overall health, and creativity that comes from "simply" calming the mind.

When the mind is calm, we are more present, and events in life seem less overwhelming. Solutions present themselves, where before, only problems appeared.
