Can you tell us about your interest in opera?

I studied opera with Metropolitan Opera soprano Marjorie Lawrence whose life story was made into an Academy Award winning movie INTERRUPTED MELODY. In New York City, I use to sit in on Metropolitan Opera tenor Jerry Hadley's voice lessons in the afternoons, and in the evenings go to the Metropolitan Opera to hear him perform leading tenor roles. I created a scholarship for emerging artists through an international vocal competition at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. I served as Chairman of the National Opera Convention at Kennedy Center Opera House. I showcase my vocal studios students at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York City, and West End Theatres in London.

Have you ever seen a Met production, in opera house, on video, in the theater, or online?

I served as a National Endowment for the Arts Opera Music Theater Fellow & On-Site Evaluator of Professional Opera Musical Theater Companies & Emerging Artists Programs across the nation under the direction of The Metropolitan Opera Guild editor of OPERA News, Patrick J. Smith, the author of A YEAR AT THE MET. I have seen numerous Metropolitan Opera & Broadway Musical Theater productions, as well as, productions in London, Toronto, Vancouver, & across the nation. Catholic University of America Voice Faculty - Lecturer & Voice Instructor; American University Graduate Studies in Arts Administration; Bachelor of Arts in Music - Voice & Piano; & Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, Film & Theater; General Managers Internship with Maryland Public Television President and CEO Raymond K. K. Ho; and General Managers Training Program with American Symphony Orchestra League at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

Opera Music Theater Voice Instructor Coach Accompanist. National Arts Endowment Opera Music Theater Fellow & OnSite Evaluator. National Opera Chairman. $250,000 Heinz Awards Nominator. Studied At King's College London & The Juilliard School NYC.
