Hello & Welcome!

MEDITATION - Rejuvenates the Body, illuminates the Mind, and helps us experience our Inner Essence or what is sometimes referred to as our True Self/Soul/Buddha-Nature/Inner Awareness.

But, there are so many positive benefits to meditation, and the intention for creating this group is to help people achieve these benefits for themselves, by creating a supportive, encouraging, and helpful community; not only for those already working their practice but also for those who are just beginning or interested in learning.

Those who have tried to meditate on their own often say it’s difficult, and in the beginning, sitting still and finding the time to meditate every day is challenging. But, the secret to sustaining a long-term practice is simpler than you think — it's GROUP MEDITATION.

Here are some reasons why:

1. OUR GROUP MEDITATION WILL PROVIDE AN ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT.

Many find that a group setting is a more encouraging environment because when practicing alone, it’s natural for every meditator to go through a phase where they think: “am I doing this right?" Unfortunately, this doubt can kill any attempts at building a long-term daily practice. But, in a group you’ll connect with like-minded people with whom you can talk about your practice, ask questions, and pick up tips and tricks, in order to help you achieve your goals.

In addition going to a group meditation, is kind of like going to a gym with a workout partner. If we go to the gym by ourselves we may not workout for the full time we intended or as intensely as if we went with a friend or partner. Well, the same goes for mediating. If we meditate at home alone we might not sit for the full time we intended, but in a meditation group, we feel committed to sit for the full-time as we won't want to disturb or look like we are slacking in front of the others. :-)

2. OUR GROUP MEDITATION GIVES US A SPECIFIC TIME AND PLACE TO MEDITATE.

One of the biggest issues facing the meditators I work with is that they struggle to keep a specific place and time to meditate. Putting this group together defines the place and time in advance. This can be very helpful in building our practice because the distractions from our home won’t be there.

3. OUR GROUP MEDITATION WILL HELP US TO RELAX MORE QUICKLY.

When meditators come together they form “group energy”. And many meditators say that this group energy helps their minds quickly calm down and allows their meditations to become deeper and more fulfilling.

All our Meetup Meditation Events are always open to EVERYONE!

Whether you’ve been practicing for years; are a new beginner; or someone just curious about meditation – please come by & join us!

In addition to group sessions (which as listed below), we have many MEDITATION CLASSES, EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, & RETREATS throughout the year! Therefore, please check our CALENDAR often.

METTA MEDICS was founded by meditation/mindfulness teacher, Anthony Profeta during the Covid quarantine to socially connect and bring people together who wish to send healing to one's self, others, and the world. Aquarian Dreams

Experience meditation and inner peace with your children. Meditating with partners & family can draw a family closer together. When you sit together even for a few minutes you naturally attune to a deeper level of being and this creates powerful bonds and deeper levels of connection. You may think your child is too young to meditate but just bringing them to sit with you and be present while we practice is helpful. This is especially true with younger children because they are social learners and model what they see. During our guided meditation sessions we will practice together and bring to bring calm, peace, grounding & connection to our lives. In today's stressful world these tools are beneficial for both adults and children alike. Hello Meditators! Let's set the week, as well as, our mind, body, & soul on the right path by coming together for a Group Meditation. When meditators come together they form a group energy. Many say that this energy helps to create a calming environment that leads to deeper meditations & inner transformation. Many also find that group sessions are helpful in building a long-term practice. This is a WEEKLY RECURRING GROUP MEDITATION that is open to everyone of all levels; whether you are a beginner or master meditator – please know that you are welcome to come and join us. We will sit on the floor with/without cushions; sit in chairs; or whatever is most comfortable for you. (If you have your own cushion please feel free to bring it.) The total time we meditate is 20-30 minutes. We will start promptly at 7pm, and we ask as a courtesy to others in the group that you try your best to arrive on time. If you happen to arrive a few minutes late, please enter quietly & take a seat being mindful of those around you. This GROUP MEDITATION was was created to give like-minded people who are interested in meditation a set time & place to practice their technique, as well as, bring together those of us who are interested in cultivating more ‪ (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/kindness?source=feed_text&story_id=1653788551512728)kindness, compassion, & peace in our community.
