For years, the Australian podcast community was screaming out for its own awards ceremony. This led Dave Gertler to create the Cast Away Awards. It began with an idea in 2016, and with the support of the podcast community over the following 12 months, led to a massive celebration of podcast achievement in April 2017.

And the Cast Away Australian Podcast Awards are back in early 2018! Better yet, they'll be hosted in Melbourne!!! Dave is joining us to seek input from the Melbourne Podcasters community to make the awards bigger and better. Bring your questions and ideas! The Cast Aways is an awards night for everyone in podcasting.
