This is group for people who enjoy running outdoors with a group. We will meet once a week for a group run & socializing. This group is meant for runners of all ranges that just enjoy being social & healthy at the same time.
Introducing the "Just 4 Fun Run" on Wednesday nights-weather permitting-at 5:30pm! This group run’s focus is on the stress reducing and recreational aspects of running! This run is for those newer to running, slower in pace, recovering from injury, don't have a lot of free time, and/ or run just for the fun of it! Put away your pace watches and gadgets for this one. We go at a conversational pace but feel free to use your head phones if music keeps you going! We tend to “go with the flow" but usually run approximately 3-5 miles, more or less if you desire....No pressure to go fast or far. The Oakwood Park course lends itself to leaving or staying at your will. We warm-up a bit before and stretch after the runs. Sometimes strength intervals are thrown in just to make it interesting! We start at 5:30pm so there's plenty of time to be with our families for the rest of the evening. We meet at the first small parking on the right as you enter the main park entrance on the side of the pond with the picnic shelters (Area #5). See you then! 😃
