Mentorship Saturdays Pages

This meetup is about forming self-organizing groups to get unstuck! If we can't help solve a problem we can hopefully at least provide tools and guidance to getting closer to a solution.

Slack Team:

Please explore the rest of our Meetup Pages for additional helpful information!

The target audience are adults who are curious about the tech industry, self-taught programmers, code school attendees, and experienced and established developers.

This is meetup meets once a month. As a rule of thumb, it is scheduled to be the first Saturday - but that may not always be the case.

It starts at 10 AM and lasts up to 2 PM at the Metal Toad office - on the 4th floor of the Yeon Building in downtown Portland.

Please keep an eye on the Meetup calendar dates as a lack of mentors or other factors may cause the event to be cancelled at short notice!

Do not rely upon any other event calendar besides this one on Meetup as they may not reflect the latest changes.

The door downstairs and elevator access will be locked!

A representative from the Meetup should be providing door duty from 10 AM until about 10:15 AM.

If you arrive later than 10:15 please post a comment in that Saturday's event and we'll hop down to let you in as soon as we can!

Other Notes

  • We recommend bringing a laptop with WiFi capability and a power adapter, but it is not necessary if you have no plans to work on code for the day.
  • If you are interested in job seeking advice, a copy of your latest resume and portfolio would be helpful to have on hand.
  • Since 10 AM to 2 PM is 4 hours long, we generally recommend using one of the nearby parking garages (4th and Yamhill, 3rd and Alder) instead of having to leave the building to refill a meter.
  • Make sure you do a double check for any items like chargers, phones, and notebooks before leaving. We will hold on to items left behind until the next meetup, but that might leave you without a charged phone for a week!
