Meon Valley Meetup

This group is for anyone, and everyone, of any age, living in and around the Meon Valley area, who wants an opportunity to make new friends and to socialise in the beautiful setting of the Meon Valley! Our meetups will be social affairs - a great chance to chat, relax and meet new people. There are no restrictions on who can join, we just insist on a photo with your membership request so that we can find you at events. 

Come to our events alone, or bring a friend or partner, everyone will be made welcome. Remember that we are all members for the same reason - to discover new adventures and to make new friends!

We aim to host a variety of different events - theatre, dinner, drinks, coffee, walks, quiz nights, live music... hopefully there will be something for everyone. If there is something in particular that you would like to do, or a venue that you would love to visit, please feel free to suggest it on the discusions page. You can also be added as an event organiser yourself if you'd like to get more involved and host events!

Terms and Conditions

Membership is currently free, will will try to recover annual site expenses by the occasional addition of a small fee for chosen events, e.g. the Theatre nights where the group has received a group discount from the event provider.  It is hoped that these small contributions will enable a subscription-free group to continue.  

Please note to avoid no-shows at our events (which can cause difficulties in booking tables etc.), Members who, on more than one occasion, RSVP to attend but don't show up may be supended* or removed* from the group. Last minute changes to RSVP status (e.g. less than 2 hours before the event start) will be classed as a no-show. 

Members who are inactive on the website for more than 6 months may be removed* from the group.

Members who RSVP for an event and do not attend but incur the Event Host costs, may be suspended* until the Event Host has been reasonably compensated.  

*All suspensions or removals are at the  absolute discretion of the Organiser. 

Members are responsible for their own health and safety during the events which they choose to attend. No responsibility is accepted by the Event Host, the Organiser or MeetUp.com, you attend at your own risk.
