Global Engineers Meetup

Welcome to Mercari's Global Engineer's Meetup! This is an event to gather global engineers in the Tokyo area to share technical knowledge and network over drinks & food. This is not a study session, no need to bring your laptop (unless you really want to). Each session we'll have a different theme.

📌 Theme: Scalable Software Development

Scalability is the capability of a system, network, or process to handle a growing amount of work, or its potential to be enlarged to accommodate that growth. It is a highly significant issue in software systems, databases, routers, and networking. And here at Mercari, our systems have to deal with tens of thousands of requests per second, and more than 30 million users only in Japan.

For this meetup we brought together some of our global engineers to talk about the challenges and approaches to scale software for big numbers, and we invite everyone to join this discussion with us.

📌 Access

This meetup will be held at the Mercari office (Roppongi Hills, Mori Tower 18F).

On the day of the event, find the exclusive MercariDev reception on the Lower Lobby of Mori Tower. They will check-in guests and instruct you on how to go to the 18F.
