What we'll do
This is the first event to share about Diversity Recruitment in Mercari (https://about.mercari.com/en/) by the Talent Acquisition team and CHRO. Through this event, we aim to share about the D&I culture, mindset and milestones achieved so far with the D&I advocates and HR professionals. If you’re interested to know more about how this fast-paced Tech Start-up is working on D&I, please join us and let’s exchange ideas in the Q&A sections!

Nicolas Angelone (Talent Acquisition Team) - Finding & Attracting Diverse Talent
With six years of technical recruitment experience, Nick joined Mercari in April of 2021. Having a background of hiring machine learning engineers, his focus falls mainly in this area, with branches out to security hiring as well. As a USA native, he speaks both English & Japanese. He has also, in the past, held a variety of events around D&I focused on hiring and inclusion.
Jessica Ho (Talent Acquisition Team) - D&I Attract Project in Mercari
Came to Tokyo from Hong Kong in 2016. After around two years working at a recruitment company, she joined Mercari in November 2018. She’s now in charge of hiring for engineer and engineering manager positions.
Jane Corleony (Talent Acquisition Team) - Why Mercari? and Mercibox
Originally from Jakarta, Jane joined Mercari to support the growth of its Japan business. Jane is trilingual (English, Japanese, Indonesian) with a multicultural background, she has over 6 years of work experience in Talent Acquisition. She is a proactive and committed advocate of Diversity & Inclusion.
Maho Hashimoto (Manager, Talent Acquisition Team) - Mercari TA: Our culture & Team
Joined Mercari in November 2018. After a quarter of being in charge of hiring for the corporate side, she stepped into technical recruiting. She is currently planning events to promote Diversity & Inclusion as well.
Tatsuo Kinoshita (CHRO) - D&I in mercari
Joined P&G, where he was responsible for recruiting and HRBP in the HR division. After joining GE Japan in 2001 and working in the US and Thailand, he held consecutive roles as Black Belt at the Plastics Division, HR Director of the Financial Division in 2007, and Organization & Talent Development HR Director for Asia. After taking an 8-month sabbatical in 2011, he became Head of HR for GE Japan in 2012. In 2015, he assumed the role of HR Director for the Asia Pacific Organization & Talent Development Division in Malaysia. He joined Mercari, Inc. in December 2018 as CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer).
