What we're about

For about a year this has been a group dedicated to games, but I think it’s time to expand it into a social group for couples, singles, and anyone who likes to do fun stuff socially.

This group is for everyone who enjoys playing board, role playing, or video games. If you like games, this is the group for you. It is my hope that different people will volunteer to host different types of game nights in either public or private locations.

Games at Commerce Township Library

Commerce Township Community Library

OCG, Oakland County Gamers, is expanding their game days to include the first Saturday of each month. This event will be held at the Commerce Township Community Library starting at 11 AM and continuing until 4:30PM (Library closes at 5PM). We are a novice friendly group that focuses on building friendships and connections through teaching games and encouraging interaction. Our goal is to build a friendly community to support local charities, while creating an awareness of how board games can bring people together. SIGN IN When you arrive, be sure to sign in at the entry table, retrieve your name tag, and log your attendance. There will never be a cover charge or dues assigned for this community. All events and teaching services are provided and managed by volunteers. So please share any appreciation you have for OCG with anyone wearing a Green Name tag. FOR THOSE NEW TO OCG If you haven’t played board games in a while, there are so many new options available. OCG has designated Game Coordinators on hand to teach games for the first half of our Meetup starting at noon. Each Game Coordinator will assess the knowledge of their group and decide on a game that would be appropriate. Please look for anyone with a GREEN name badge to help facilitate your experience.
