MongoDB and Reactive Streams with Kafka

Details
Come and join the Miami Hadoop User Group for two new presentations on MongoDB and Reactive Streams!
The first talk will be presented by Lukas Borges, and it will cover setting up MongoDB in clustered mode. Lukas will discuss his experiences with MongoDB and Docker. MongoDB is one of the leading NoSQL, document-oriented Databases.
For the second talk, we'll have Nicolas Perez discuss Reactive Streams for Apache Kafka. Kafka is a widely used streaming platform in the Hadoop ecosystem, used to implement real-time data pipelines. With Reactive Streams, we can implement asynchronous message-passing systems that avoid overflowing of consumers.
Lukas Borges is an FIU student and researcher since 2015 with experience in game and software development. He has been recently working on a startup company where he uses the Scala programming language and MongoDB.
Nicolas A. Perez is a software engineer working on Big Data at a startup company. He is passionate about computing problems, compilers, and distributed systems.
Food and drinks will be provided!
