Just a reminder!! No "Sly Spam or Spam" !! A true story about "Dick and Jane"

On occasion we get a Dick or Jane who tries to be "sly" and post events, web sites, advertisements, etc. within replies and comments on event pages.

My absolute FAVORITE (Sarcasticly) is when "Dick or Jane" goes through random events and posts "Sorry I wont make the event but you might want to check out my website, come to my event, etc..." OR "Sorry I didn't make the event, but please visit my website, go to my event, etc" - What happened to actual meeting people and making contact?

Unfortunately I had to boot/ban our first "Dick or Jane" for doing just that (booted after posting the above statement on 6 different events that they were not attending).

We try to work with people as we can, we invite you to submit ideas, events or to even put your own event together (as long as it meets within the group guidelines).

We are always up to ideas, especially if you can add some event with value. Maybe something like a YOGA class, an ART class, Writing group, trip to the Zoo, Club Event, Boat Ride, Picnic, Group Lunch, Group Coffee, etc., it is our opinion that EVERYONE here has something special and something they can SHARE or CREATE...

This is why we created the Networking and Social events-It gives everyone a chance to meet, introduce themselves and make others aware of them or their services. You want to increase business, make contacts, then go to the events and meet people!!!

The moral of the story? Don’t be a Dick or Jane, contact us, go to an event, give us an idea, etc... and never try to "Sly Spam" the group or it's members!!

Thanks!

Ken
