I'm planning on golfing in the UP in late August. Island Resort and Casino is located in Harris, just west of Escanaba. They have some great golf packages. I'm looking at 4 nights and 4 golf courses. The golf courses are Sage Run, Sweetwater, Greywalls in Marquette and Timberstone in Iron Mountain. The price for a single is $620. If you double up in a room the price is $480/ea. This is a GREAT price as Greywalls alone is $155. Timberstone goes for $109. All of the courses are fantastic and play well for all skill levels. There are some great restaurants in Escanaba. Cancelations are allowed up to 48 hours before arrival. I have done this package before and I can tell you the rooms are comfortable and the golf is first class. I'm looking at the 4th week in August...staying the nights of the 23rd - 26th and golfing the 24th - 27th. At this point there are rooms available but I don't want to wait to much longer to book this. Please let me know if you are interested. Once I have a feel for how many want to go I will schedule tee times. Give it some serious thought, it is a dream trip. I am open to taking a few passengers and car pooling. I will probably head up early and golf a few courses in the Gladstone area but everyone can obviously do what best fits their schedule. Below are a few links you may want want to check out. Thx!

Ok, I have booked 12 rooms and 3 sets of tees times each day. I can add or subtract to these as we go if necessary. The tee times are as follows:
Tuesday 8/24 - Sweetgrass 12:30 12:40 12:50
Wednesday 8/25 - Timberstone 1:10 1:20 1:30 (Central Time)
Thursday 8/26 - Greywalls 12:45 12:55 1:05
Friday 8/27 - Sage Run 10:40 10:50 11:00
