What we’re about
Since 1975, Michigan Atheists has been the premier organization in Michigan laboring for the civil liberties of Atheists, and the total, absolute separation of government and religion.
"Action without discussion is dangerous. Discussion without action is futile."

This Month's Lecture/Topical Discussion/Talk: It's Election Day! Time for Michigan Atheists' annual leadership election. MA operates as a truly democratic organization where our members have the privilege to choose our leaders. This stands in stark contrast to many organizations that either forgo elections entirely or allow the Board to select its own members.
This year's elections cover the following positions:- Board Secretary
- Board Treasurer
- Third Director at Large
- Fourth Director at Large
At Michigan Atheists, our Board is a dynamic, hands-on team, and we expect our Board members to be actively engaged and consistently contribute to the organization's success. We enthusiastically invite all paid members in good standing to participate in the voting process, which will occur in person at our October meeting. If you are a member in good standing for at least one year, and you're interested in running for a Board position, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@michiganatheists.com.
This is a great opportunity to meet other atheists in the area, learn more about atheism, and discuss issues that are important to you.
This event is FREE to attend. We hope to see you there!
