Michigan Atheists 30th annual State Convention

This year's theme: The Secular Family, Experiencing Awe and Wonder

The 30th Annual Michigan Atheists Convention is on Saturday, April 7th, 2018. Check in starts at 9 AM. Speakers start at 10 AM. The convention ends at 5 PM. You are responsible for your own dinner before Afterglow at 8PM.

SPEAKERS
Dale McGowan – College professor turned author of Parenting Beyond Belief and other books.
Rebecca Markert – Legal Director for the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
Kimberly Veal – President of People of Color Beyond Faith, Host FreeThinkers Radio Network.
Jim G. Helton – National Field Organizer from American Atheists.
Kelly Helton – Jim Helton's very vibrant teenage activist daughter.
Christopher Tanner and Chris Hanna – Cellar Door Skeptics podcast and secular parents.

LODGING
The Comfort Inn 30715 W. 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI is holding 25 rooms. Prices are $80 for a King and $90 for a Double, plus taxes. Lodging includes buffet breakfast. Phone 1-248-471-9220 for reservations and be sure to mention Michigan Atheist Convention. Rooms will be released on March 30th if not reserved. The Comfort Inn is about a mile and a half west of the convention site.

AFTERGLOW: This is a free event for convention attendees at the Comfort Inn at 8PM until 11PM in the conference room. You must sign up for this event! Please see the section RSVP COMMENTS, below.

COSTS: Adults $45, Students $30. Includes lunch. Afterglow is free.
