Our 2nd meeting of the Michigan Automotive & Mobility UX group is going to be held Wednesday, March 6th from 6-8PM at the Michigan Beer Company (also known as DUEL) in Novi Michigan (OEM Presenters for March 6th include Ford and GM)
The evening focus will be on UX activities at leading OEMs and the event will include a short presentation "UX @ OEMx" from our speakers and a follow-up panel discussion. OEM panelists will talk about topics like what UX means to their company, about the UX organization, the culture, process, desired skills and more.
This is a great opportunity to not only hear directly from the OEM about the UX topics you said you wanted to learn more about, but you will also have the opportunity to meet and network with them and others in attendance the entire evening. Please share information on how to join the Michigan Automotive & Mobility UX meetup group with your colleagues and bring a guest or two with you to the March 6, 2019 networking event!

Design Group Manager, EV/AV and Future Pursuits
User Experience Innovation Leader @ GENERAL MOTORS
Bio: As a strategic design leader with a die-hard commitment to human-centered design and a passion for innovation that matters. Throughout my career, I’ve used empathy, a deep understanding of human needs, and iterative prototyping to ensure we’re solving the right customer problem and developing a compelling vision and design strategy for the solution. Ultimately, I approach my work like trailblazing—exploring new territories, identifying the most meaningful path, and helping teams make their way across the chasm to a better future for us all. Once upon a time, I was an educator, and I’m constantly looking for opportunities to keep that dream alive in the design world. So whether it’s mentoring students or speaking on topics I’m learning, I’m all about dropping knowledge. Advancing the influence and leadership of women in design and technology is also a passion of mine... and I'm always looking for compatriots to help champion that cause.
