What we're about

Regular get-togethers for podcast creators and wannabe makers.

Each meet-up is like a real-life podcaster FAQ asked and answered by the awesome MIC podcaster community.

We also have a special podcaster guest each month to give their expert take on a chosen podcasty subject. To date we've had talks from chart-topping and award-winning podcasters about shortform podcasting, rating and reviews and remote recording.

During the covid-19 measures our meetups will be hosted online via zoom and will be cost-free to attend ;-)

We're also looking for sponsors to help support our events and do get in touch if you'd like to host a MIC where you live (when we can!)

If you've been to MIC's Podcast Club and enjoyed, benefited or simply love the cut of our jib, please consider buying us a brew https://www.buymeacoffee.com/micspodcastclub - the money raised will contribute towards the running of the Club, incuding the costs of meetup, marketing and caffeine for Vic & Charles.

“MIC's Podcast Club was a real inspiration for me and gave me the confidence to pursue my own podcast. Seeing others so passionate and enthusiastic about their subjects, made me want to raise my game. It also reminded me of how accessible and friendly the Podcast community can be.” Paul Fores – ‘Remember The First Time?‘ podcast

"We launched our podcast today, it’s a bit rough, it’s been a journey but I want to say thanks! MIC's Podcast Club has been invaluable." Rachel Goulding, Show Stream

MIC's Podcast Club (online) w/ guest podcast producer Charlotte Foster

MIC's (virtual) Podcast Club is a space for podcasters to hangout, get advice from each other, chew the fat and be amongst your tribe for a couple of hours a month. Especially important we reckon during these strange old times. The virtual aspect means that YOU CAN COME FROM ANYWHERE! The first half of this month's MIC's Podcast Club is a free-for-all QnA asked and answered by the community there on the night. Next up we welcome special guest and buddy of MIC's Podcast Club, Charlotte Foster. A former BBC and LBC radio presenter she's now runs her own fabulous podcast production company. She'll be taking the stage for the 2nd half if the meetup where she's going to be talking PLANNING your podcast. As Vic our likes to say, You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail! Since going virtual, at MIC's Podcast Club, we've covered loads of useful stuff like media coverage, mailing lists, trailers, remote recording, audiograms, microphones, growing your audience, growing your audience, "shortcasts" and rating and reviewing podcasts. At previous events we've been joined by professional podcast producers, hobbyists and DIY creators, BBC journalists, PR specialists and radio professionals - it really is for anyone who's crazy about podcasting. How it rolls: 5:50pm - Doors Open 6pm - Podcast Club kicks off 6:10pm - Podcasting Q&A (ask us anything!) 7.00pm - break 7.10pm - Charlotte Foster 8pm - Podcast Club Closes There is no pressure for you to get involved, you're more than welcome to simply observe and soak up the joy / advice / awesomeness. Bring your own drinks 😉 ------------------- It'll be hosted on Zoom and we will email you the log in details shortly before the event to prevent any zoom bombing (a phrase we learnt during April's meetup!) ----------------------------------------
