We will meet at 6:30pm at the canteen of RIO for drinks and pizza.
The talk starts at 7:15pm and will be in English.
Ivan Dugalić: Building Event-Driven Information Systems
After the talk we have time for more drinks and smalltalk.
Abstract:
In today's fast-paced digital landscape, where instantaneous data flows and seamless user experiences are paramount, the design and implementation of information systems have undergone a transformative shift toward event-driven architectures. The talk "Building Event-Driven Information Systems" delves into the pivotal role that event-driven architecture plays in creating highly responsive, scalable, and adaptable systems.
The talk will also address the architectural considerations and challenges involved in designing event-driven information systems, including data consistency, event propagation, and error handling. Best practices for orchestrating events, ensuring proper event choreography, and maintaining event schemas will be discussed in detail.
We emphasize that data is not important in itself. It’s the analysis of data and how it is produced that is the driver of all innovations and solutions. Event sourcing and CQRS patterns play important roles in this design process.
Ultimately, this presentation leverages the wealth of experience garnered from designing and implementing hundreds of projects to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of event-driven information systems. The insights shared will empower attendees, whether they are software architects, developers, or IT decision-makers, to make informed choices when architecting and implementing systems. This talk is an opportunity to tap into a wellspring of practical knowledge and to revolutionize the way we approach building and interacting with information systems in an era defined by dynamic data and ever-evolving user expectations.
