CodeYourFuture is a free, community code school that fights inequality by providing pathways to employment in the tech sector for refugees, asylum seekers, and people from other disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds. We achieve this by running a free, 8-month full-stack web development course. We're powered by teams of volunteers who teach our lessons, develop our content and guide our students their paths to a prosperous life.

We currently teach over 100 students and are operating in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. We're expanding into Cape Town, South Africa and Medellin, Columbia.

What is this session about?
In this session we'll be chatting with some of our graduates and volunteers to give you a look into life at CodeYourFuture and the way that it's changed lives. You'll learn about the best ways for you to get involved and the many ways that giving back can help your career and skills.

Who is it aimed at?
Developers, teachers, mentors, coaches. Anyone that wants to give back in a unique and impactful way.

We teach HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Node, MongoDB & SQL. No professional teaching experience is necessary - we believe that the best people to teach our students are the people who use these tools every day.

Why should I attend?
In 2020 we have experienced some of the greatest destabilising forces of our times - you should attend if you want to be part of the solution to the massive problems that we're going to be facing over the coming months and years.
