What we’re about
We will have a lot of hikes in Middle Tennessee. However we will also do a lot of hiking in the Cumberland Plateau and Cumberland Mountains which are between Nashville and Knoxville and between Nashville and Chattanooga. Most of these hikes will be long day trips but are very awarding hikes.
We will also offer longer hikes that involve overnights. These hikes are from anywhere from the Smoky Mountains to the Rocky Mountains or anywhere there are good hikes that the group would like to hike.
In addition to hiking we will be open to all kinds of outdoor activities from kayaking, biking, horseback riding, sitting around a fire, camping, caving, having a picnic, listening to live music outside, rock climbing or pretty much anything that is outdoors.
We may also have some social activities as well such as dinners or other activities that will help us all get to know each other.
We are always looking for people who are will to host meetups and I am always willing to help you organize your first few meetup events so let me know if you would like to be an Event Organizer

Hike Leader: Jason AllenLong Hunter's Inland Trail, also known as Hickory Hill, features a variety of impressive trees, including several species of hickory, huge oaks, sassafras, and even a pawpaw patch.
Join Jason Allen, creator of Long Hunter's arboretum, as we explore these woods and see how many types of trees we can find. We’ll attempt to identify species by bark, leaves, fruit and more.
This one-mile dirt trail includes one moderate climb but overall is considered easy.
No pets, please.
Keep in mind that this will not be a fast-paced hike. We will stop often to examine and discuss the trees found along the trail.
Directions to Inland Trail:
Enter Long Hunter State Park at the main park entrance (2910 Hobson Pike) and then take the third right (Upper Bluffs Area) and proceed to the parking lot. The trailhead is beside the parking lot.
