Come Peer into the universe through a remote telescope!

151 Marlborough St

This will be a very unique evening enjoying some of the basics of astronomy while having fun in a relaxed informal gathering! Picture a cozy banquet room with the lights dimmed and an astronomer discussing the universe, showing you live views of giant and remote star clusters! Then the astronomer will project the winter stars and constellations onto the ceiling and we will learn how to easily identify them and where to view giant red stars and binary stars! We will be giving away a free telescope! We will also have a display to view particles from outer space! These atomic particles will streak across the surface of the display right in front of your eyes! There will also be a display that allows us to actually see and hear the background radiation still remaining from the explosion of the creation of the universe itself! Come have fun, learn and meet some great people! The banquet facility will have food and drink available to order separately. The cost for this unique event is just $40 per person, payable when you arrive! Feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks! ~Mark

Look Through World's Largest Telescope Available!

Mount Wilson Observatory

Have you ever dreamed of going to the top of a mountain and looking through a very large telescope? Now you can! This telescope is the largest telescope in the world currently available to the public, but with limited access! Come for an amazing evening peering into the universe through the 100 inch telescope on Mount Wilson Observatory! This telescope was used by the greatest astronomers of the twentieth century such as Edwin Hubble! Even Albert Einstein looked through this telescope! Mount Wilson Observatory is in the San Gabriel Mountains, north of Pasadena California. We only have 15 spaces available for this group adventure and this will be posted in other meetup groups. The cost is only $375 per person and includes a complete guided tour of the facility, bus transportation to and from the observatory, a two hour observation looking directly through the largest telescope at objects in the universe and a laser guided tour of the constellations! You will be responsible for your hotel and flight. We will be securing this telescope well in advance because there is very limited access to it and only by groups. Include the number of guests you would like to bring with you. When you RSVP here, this is only for getting a list of the first 15 people. Payment must be made through meetup to actually secure your space(s). I will post another meetup with more details and you will have to RSVP again and make payment to secure your space(s). RSVP now for this incredible lifetime experience! If you have any questions, just message me on meetup, call me or text me.
