We meet on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of every month at 6pm, for a guided meditation session that lasts around 30-45 minutes. We are a group of local folks of all ages, backgrounds and traditions. All are welcome, whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner. We recommend arriving about 5-10 minutes before the session starts to find a seat and get comfortable. Both floor cushions and folding chairs are available, and you are welcome to bring your own cushion as well, if you prefer. Don't worry if you don't see a bunch of RSVPs for a session; there are usually at a dozen people or more at just about every session.
This is a non-religious, non-sectarian group that is purely interested in creating a safe and welcoming space where meditators from all backgrounds and experience levels can gather for the purpose of benefiting ourselves, each other, and the community as a whole.
$5 donation per person is suggested in order to cover the expenses associated with maintaining the meditation space, however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. A donation bowl is located near the door at each session for those who are able to contribute.
Meditation facilitators are Heatherleigh, JaiJay, Chloe, Carly, and Autumn. Guest teachers will be present occasionally.
