Meet at above location, from where we will drive to our start point. This guided walk links two trails and is generally moderate with a few strenuous bits and provides great views of neighbouring Maulin, Djouce, and the Deerpark Valley,
the Great Sugar Loaf, plus Powerscourt Waterfall where the Dargle river plunges 121m (or 398ft in 'old money'), and is the highest waterfall on the island of Ireland.
The trail also includes the Paddock Ponds (now dry), which burst through it's retaining walls, when Hurricane Charlie hit Ireland in 1986. We'll take a break at the footbridge that crosses the Dargle River (Glensoulan Valley) on the Wicklow Way, and return to base via the Maulin Trail through Crone Woods.
