About us
Meet with local Horror Fiction, Television, Movies and pop-culture fans in your town! Group views, group reads, discussions, fun genre-themed field trips. Possible group trips to horror conventions.
Must be 21 and over to join and live in the Denver-metro area of Colorado. (Sorry, kiddos, we meet at bars a lot.)
Read our "7 Golden Rules for Members" in our message boards and/or Files section.
Our goal is to share our love of all things spooky with others in a safe environment, have lively discussions that our "non-horror" friends would not be interested in, and go on fun outings with fellow horror geeks.
To contact us, you can reach out to our email address:
milehighhorrors@gmail.com
Or join us on our Discord server, where something is always happening.

Weekly: Dead By Daylight Group Play
·OnlineOnlineWE ARE LEAVING MEETUP!!
In a week or so, Mile High Horrors will no longer be on MeetUp. Since the platform's change in ownership, it has just become too expensive for us to keep paying for the service. We are still migrating functionality elsewhere, but our new central site is at:
https://milehighhorrors.com/
You can find there a calendar that has our upcoming events. To get on our email list, which we're still sort of rolling out, send an email to:
milehighhorrors+membership@gmail.com
With your own email address in the body of the email. Thank you!Join us for some Dead By Daylight. Play with us if you have the game, or just watch if you prefer. We will get a group together and play a few matches with random online users or just with each other if we get enough people.
To join or watch the game, logon to our Discord server here: https://discord.gg/2rZU49J23K. Game discussions and streaming will happen in the "Let's Play a Game" voice chat.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed. It supports cross-play, so you will be able to join in the fun whether you play on PC or Console.

May Book Club: Graphic Novel Month
Stanley Beer Hall, Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St. #100, Aurora, CO, US*Reminder: We will be closing the MHH Meetup group soon and migrating to a separate website - milehighhorrors.com. This will be completed by April 19, 2026. You can also join our Discord and follow @milehighhorrors on Instagram to learn about upcoming events.*
For May's book club, we will be reading and discussing two graphic novels: Uzumaki by Junji Ito and Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by Patrick Horvath.
Publisher's description for Uzumaki:
Kurouzu-cho, a small fogbound town on the coast of Japan, is cursed. According to Shuichi Saito, the withdrawn boyfriend of teenager Kirie Goshima, their town is haunted not by a person or being but a pattern: UZUMAKI, the spiral—the hypnotic secret shape of the world. The bizarre masterpiece horror manga is now available all in a single volume. Fall into a whirlpool of terror!Publisher's description for Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees:
For Samantha Strong, this isn’t just advice, it’s survival. She’s Woodbrook’s most reliable shop owner, its warmest smile, and beneath all that fur…its most efficient serial killer. The big city beyond the evergreens has more than enough prey; Sam just wants her tranquil life, her tidy storefront, and the comforting lull of cedar branches and apple-pie breezes.
But tranquility shatters when a fellow Woodbrook resident turns up savaged by an unknown hand. Suddenly the gossip swirls, panic rises, and Sheriff Patterson is on the prowl, too close for comfort.
Sam knows one thing: if someone else is killing in her woods, they’re not just a threat to her routine. They’re a threat to everything she’s built. And she’ll do whatever it takes to uncover the truth before Woodbrook tears itself apart. This month, we will meet at Stanley Beer Hall. All are welcome to join us, whether you finish the book or not. Hope to see you there!
