This meditation / guided relaxation will include live music on the handpan (or "hang drum" as it is also called). The first several sessions were well received, and so I have decided to continue posting them on this Meetup group. The handpan is a beautiful steel instrument with several notes, which is played with the hands, and which sounds similar to a harp - the sounds of the handpan are very soothing and relaxing, and they go very well with meditation. I have included a picture of it above.

Below is some more information about the event from Julie Kamikawa, the owner of Kolibri Yoga and Kirtan, and the person who will be leading the meditation / guided relaxation:

-Special relaxation/guided meditation, also known as Yoga Nidra-- donations only (pay what you can)- reserve your space for this special event today!! This will include some live music by Kristie on the hand pan (hang drum)!

RSVPs at the scheduler/ticket URL needed as space is limited and to ensure this event will take place. Can be seated or standing, with options to lay on floor. No experience necessary; all over 14 yrs are welcome with preregistration/RSVP.

-Suggested donation $5-$10 per person.

-FREE & easy parking in our lot; we are located right off Hwy 41/45 Burleigh exit amongst lots of shopping and restaurant opportunities, including the new Whole Foods, as well as Pizza Man.

-Dress casually; this is not a formal physical yoga practice. Mats are available, but it is recommended to bring your own mat, blanket, and pillow to be completely comfortable.

-Think you can't make a difference in a tough world? You CAN by starting with yourself. Remember this? "Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me."
