Dear friends, Let's come together as a group for a free, practical, and highly interactive workshop: Why Do We Behave a Certain Way? Keys to Health, Energy and Balance Explore the ancient system of Auyrveda, the science of life, and discover how the 5 elements of space, air, fire, water and earth influence our personality, the seasons, and our overall health. We are all unique beings with our own combination of the elements (doshas), and this beautiful system of understanding the mind-body-soul connection uses principles inherent in nature to bring us back into equilibrium. In this workshop you will learn: • What is your own mind/body constitution (doshas) • How your personality, occupation, and life philosophy is affected by your dosha • How you know when you are out of balance – symptoms and potential diseases • Learn the practical ways to get your body/mind back in balance

What we're about

New Group: 4M – Mindful Movement and Meditation in Markham
The 4M group is designed for people who are 45+ who would like to explore an holistic approach to the workings of body, mind, and spirit.
Once a week the group will meet for a session consisting of gentle yoga poses and therapeutic movements, designed to alleviate common health conditions such as lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, arthritis, and to gradually build strength, balance, and flexibility.
The uniqueness of the techniques that I use (rooted in the traditions of Restorative Yoga , Viniyoga, and,Somatic Yoga) not only improve the flexibility of the body, but they assist to gently yet persistently reprogram our body on all levels – removing cramping within muscles, restoring their correct functioning, creating new connections between them and the brain, and also assisting in ridding ourselves from the emotional and mental blocks that "settled" in the body.
Each session will be followed by guided meditation that will create the ideal environment for deep release of internal blocks, healing, and rejuvenation.
In addition, every couple of months we will meet for inspiring seminars on holistic approaches to the workings of body, mind, and spirit, which will provide you with specific advice and guidance on how to maintain physical and emotional health.
