Refuge Recovery Meetings
Wednesdays from 7:15 am to 8:15 am and Saturdays from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm The new Refuge Recovery Meetings are based on Noah Levine's book by the same name, which follows a Buddhist model for the 12-step program. In this format, the addicts and their family members are not separated, but rather, all are welcome to participate together. These meetings take place on Wednesdays from 7:15 am to 8:15 am and Saturdays from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm on an ongoing, drop-in, by donation basis. The meeting leader is our own wonderful teacher, Joel McNenny.

What we're about

With support from UCLA and the integration of scientific research, psychology and tried and true wisdom practices, we have created an inspiring and educational environment that nurtures you from the roots up.

Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention that will give you the tools necessary to plant and grow the right seeds, as well as how to tend and nurture the fertile garden of your mind with expertise, compassion and skill.

Come join us in the sun and see what’s possible for you through Mindfulness Meditation classes, trainings, workshops and retreats at our center in Tarzana.

No previous training is required. It can be used with any healing modality, therapy or belief system. Many classes are FREE.

From Ventura, turn on Vanalden (behind IHOP), make a left at the alley behind the Tarzana Cultural Center and right into the parking lot. As you walk out of the parking lot, go right, pass the first entrance and turn left to enter the second entrance into the shopping center. To the right is an elevator and the stairs that take you to the second floor. Once you are upstairs, go left and go through the green doorway into the hallway.

We are the last unit to the right with French glass doors.
