Meditation and Dharma Sharing

Details
We practice as a Sangha in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen teacher Thich Naht Hanh. Each week we do about an hour of formal meditation (two silent 20 minute sitting meditations with a period of walking meditation in between) and then a reading from Thich Nhat Hanh followed by dharma sharing. Our Sangha practice ends at 8:30.
Occasionally, we conduct recitations of the mindfulness trainings. You can find more about us on Facebook.
We welcome new members, or visits by people who are just curious about mindfulness, Thich Naht Hanh, or meditation in general. The sitting meditation begins at 6:30, so please come early, at 6:15, so as not to disturb others. If this is your first time with us, we'll offer you a brief orientation if you can arrive by 6:15. Our group has been together for more than two years, and you can expect there will be 10 or more of us every Wednesday. (Not everyone RSVPs on Meetup.) Don't be shy about coming for the first time, we usually have 1 or 2 new people each week.
