"To be honest, my motivation for starting One Breath At A Time Mindfulness Community was selfish. I had just moved from the Bay Area to Claremont and could not find anywhere in the Inland Empire to practice mindfulness. Up north I was spoiled by access to great mindfulness instructors and groups, but I could find nothing around where I lived. So I decided to start this group, so that I could attempt to establish a community to practice mindfulness with. I am grateful that I did. Mindfulness practice has really transformed so many aspects of my life and I am grateful that so many others are now getting to experience the benefits of mindfulness practice in their own lives." -Randall Sokoloff

One Breath At A Time Mindfulness Community is now Wake Up Mindfulness Studio located in downtown Claremont. Wake Up Mindfulness Studio was founded by Tracie and Randall Sokoloff. Randall is a Mindfulness Based Psychotherapist, Writer, Artist and Mindfulness Instructor. He has trained with pioneers in the field of mindfulness, such as Jon Kabat-Zinn, Sharon Salzburg and Jack Kornfield. Tracie Sokoloff (Randall's wife), is also a Mindfulness Based Psychotherapist and a certified Yoga Instructor.

Would you like to learn Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)? This class will introduce you to MBSR in the form of sitting meditation, body awareness and mindful movement. The class will be modeled after the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn. If stress is having a negative impact on your life or if you are experiencing severe mental strain or just want to maintain mental and physical health, this class can help. The class will be held every Thursday evening where we will be exploring different aspects of how MBSR can help us in our lives. Please wear comfortable clothes and be prepared for a twenty minute guided MBSR meditation. The class will be 45 to 50 min long and will cost $15. The class will be taught by Tracie Sokoloff who has been practicing MBSR for almost 10 years. Tracie is a registered yoga instructor and has practiced mindfulness based counseling and psychotherapy for many years.
