What we're about

Whether you're new to Insight meditation or an advanced practitioner looking for like-minded people to sit with, you're welcome to join us at our Sunday morning drop-in group, sponsored by the Insight Meditation Community of Washington. The size of the group usually runs somewhere between 20-30 people. Chairs are provided, or you may bring a sitting cushion or bench. You may also use the blankets and bolsters offered by the yoga studio.

When classes resume in person, they will be held at Body Grace Fitness & Yoga (215 Mill St NE · Vienna, VA). There is time before and afterwards for tea and conversation. This class is taught alternately by Trisha, Jon, and Jeff.

These classes are offered by donation. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Hello friends! In order to do our part to quell the spread of COVID-19, we'll be temporarily moving our Sunday morning class from in-person at Body Grace Yoga to the online platform Zoom. We hope you can join us there.

Class will typically consist of appx. 30 minutes of guided sitting meditation, followed by a dharma talk, or Q&A. Chairs are provided; feel free to bring your own cushion.

FEE: This class if offered on a “dana” basis. Dana is the Pali word for generosity. Your donations go toward the space rental and to support the teacher. There will be a basket for dana near the door when you leave. Lack of funds should not be an obstacle to coming to class, so please practice generosity as you are able.
